I have found the Rishi, Green Jade Cloud Tea to be a very solid loose leaf green tea.
The Basics:
This Rishi Tea is 100% Organic. And even better it is “nurtured by the clouds and cool mist of early spring”, at least thats what it say on the package. This tea comes from the Zhejiang province of Southeast China. This tea is harvested from the first picking of during spring.
Taste:
This Tea is very refreshing. It has tones of fruitiness and sweetness blended with a slight grassy flavor. This green tea is not bitter, and it is pretty much a basic green tea (not too unique).
Appearance:
The Rishi Jade cloud green tea leaves have a very interesting form. The leaves have a dark color and are twisted in to small spirals.
My overall Review: (****/*****)
I give this tea a four out of five star rating. I really enjoy this refreshing green tea. It may lack some “character”, but this is made up for by the fantastic price. It is only $4.00 an ounce at the rishi website: Rishi Tea (note, I am not associated with Rishi Tea in any way). Also, you can probably find it at a local store that sells tea. I bought my 2.75 ounce canister for around $8.00.
