Tea Review: Pu Erh, just4tea.com

March 12th, 2008 by tmikuckis

The second of the two samples I recieved from just4tea.com was for Pu Erh Tea. The just4tea Pu Erh is grown in the Yunnan province of China. This post fermented tea is aged and compacted into a small bird’s nest form. The liquor of this tea is a very nice reddish black color, and has a nice earthy flavor and aroma . This tea is great for drinking after a big meal as a digestive.

I am really not a Pu Erh tea drinker so it is hard for me to pass a very clear judgement on the quality of this tea. I thought it was good, but I guess that doesn’t mean too much. However, with one batch of this tea I did make an iced tea with fresh sprigs of mint and some chopped up kumquats, and it was pretty much the best iced tea I’ve ever tasted.
